Just wondering. I think it would look cool. I have a K91 and I think it's ugly.

I haven't done it yet, but it's on my calendar to build the 540K coupe.
When I was young I used to say "[I]When I grow up I'm going to be somebody!"

I now realize I should have been more specific.

    Hello Lee,

just to drop in my two cents...I'd rather use the body of Pocher's K 74 to convert it to a Coupe, regarding the door's shape for instance. The Heller Citroen top will help with some work of a jewellers saw as well.

    Cheers

You might take a look at this 1/8 resin Has anyone converted a Pocher Mercedes to a coupe? coupe casting Has anyone converted a Pocher Mercedes to a coupe? for the Big Deuce. Looks very much like some of the 30's Mercedes coupes, such as the 500k sold by Jo-Han. The same resin Has anyone converted a Pocher Mercedes to a coupe? source also has a 5-window coupe that may give a little more length to the top, though you'd have to fill in the quarter windows.

Several nice exterior shots of a car similar to the one below at http://www.schlegelmilch.com/
(You will probably have to register - it's free). Just click on picture archive and select Mercedes 540K coupe from the menu.

Just looked at kit K91 and I agree. Those low-curved doors could make conversion a real bear.

I was thinking of getting rid of the K91 and getting a convertible if I do this.

Has anyone converted a Pocher Mercedes to a coupe?

    Hello Lee,

found this one in evilbay Germany:260753639545 is item's number. It's a K74 body and floor pan, they will match on the K91 frame as well, an easy way to put the coupe project on the road.

    Cheers
