For anybody wanting to see what Mr. Wingrove had been up to recently,
www.wworkshop.net
is actually his web-site address, last updated in February. -at that site you can review many of his builds, almost step by step, and he has also listed his books and magazine articles. He had made many useful tools, his louver press for one, and a pantograph attachment for a Unimat lathe. Look into the work he had done on the Falls of Clyde, a old square rigger, that he was modelling.
His video "But Does it Work?" was posted on April First, 1999 , and gives us an example of his idea of a prank? -a harmless bit of fun.
He documented his progression of workshops.
And he also included a gallery of other modelers work, "MODEL MAKERS SHOWCASE", actually many galleries for those who shared his philosophies of model making. Everybody should check out these galleries, some very fine work by other modelers from around the world.
And, not to forget his wife, Phyllis, there is a series of galleries that show her development as a ceramicist. Digby Pottery. -very admirable work, very pretty.
And finally, I do not know much about web-sites, and their maintenance, but I assume that probably at the end of this year? this site, Mr. Wingroves
www.wworkshop.net, will go down?
That too, will be sad!
