Trans-Am Mustang build

.....soooooo if any one has a 1/16 Mustang sitting around, just the body (body, doors, hood, valances, shiny parts) that they want to get rid of

A little progress
1. I prettied up the drivers seat with some orange paint, and a little foil
2. opened up the trunk, and gutted the engine bay
3. I narrowed the frame in the center taking out about 1/8" on either side
Next step...and I'm going to need some advice
1. the fuel cell/ frame sticks out to far in the back
2. I'm going to have to ope up the fenders for the wheels, any advice on how to make fender flares?

How did you do the narrowing of the frame? As I look at the pics I don't see it, soooo good job!

I know how I flare fenders and it is hard to describe in writing. I currently do not have one in the process so I can't take pics to show you. My IROC build has front and rear flares. I just cut out the fender sides and built new sides at the flare I needed and the tire opening can be moved when cutting it. I built mine out of fiberglass and JB Welded them to the body. If you do this make sure to have your tires mounted and place something over the tires to add clearance.

I will be watching this build. It draws my interest to say the least.

I sawed it along the edge of the frame, and there was a section between the frame and where the floor pan starts and sawed that out, and cut the front clip and pinned the clip back on, and glued the frame back on.

Does any know what the oil cooler behind the driver seat is for??? I know I know I should have taken a pic, this just randomly came to mind, but if you look at the pic of the under carriage you can see it's location under the drivers side rear control arm.

Got some more work on the roll cage, had to make a change in direction with what I wanted to do with the roll cage.

I figured get the chassis, and roll cage where it needs to be first then start hacking the body away

Not liking where my home made roll cage has been taking me, I'm drew this up, and I'll see if I can get some one to print it.
