I started a new build a few weeks ago..A much needed change from the Deuces and dragster....I picked up a "garage find" gen 3 Camaro and a used
TDR
big block Chevy along with some other parts in a trade...the Camaro was an assembled car..Solid platform and not a
glue bomb
..It was assembled fairly well and unpainted which was a big plus plus...I also got some Ferrari wheels and tires from a Pocher kit ..The rims are aluminum and I modified the original Camaro wheels to fit inside the aluminum rims...
I tore down the big block for a repaint and refit and added some additional TDR
parts.( a bunch actually)..Several surgeries were performed on the engine bay to accommodate big block. The big block has been adorned with cross ram fuel injection, Nitrous oxide injection, twin symmetrical turbos.with intercooler, electric water pump, Dart valve covers and other goodies.. The rear end will be a 9" with an Ultra case and metal brake disks on all 4 corners.. I will also be using a
TDR
4 speed and scratch building a "Gear Vendors" style over drive unit for the transmission...Here are a few pics of what I have thus far....
