I am a newby to this forum. It took me two days to go thru the entire build of this car. It is a shame to call it a model. The detail and craftsmanship it way over the top. I have seen a lot of models, being a former member of IPMS 1/8 GT40 MK1 Ford scratchbuilt, why not? and recently getting back into to this fascinating world. I have been involved with several "Model Shows" and I can say that this GT40 is the best I have ever seen. What really astounds me...he did all this in two years. It would have taken me 10 to 20 times that and even at that I am not sure I would have finished it. But he did, he stuck with it. It is a masterpiece and this man has a eye for the little details that are often either over looked or just forgotten.

So, Propeller, may hats off to you on this masterpiece of art. I sure hope you don't mind if I continue to refer back to this thread for some of my future builds. I thought I was good at building. Well I just got schooled and schooled good with this build. I hope you invite us to view your future builds. Thank You sooooo much for sharing all this with us all.

My God. I just finished going through this build. It took me five days, and I learned a ton of skills and techniques from the building.

Thank-you Dan for posting this. It was (and is) as valuable to me as Gerald''s or Ken's books.

    Best Regards,
    John Parry
