Here's where we'll continue ERAChas' thoughts on the car we love the best, the Cobra.

      http://www.kirkhammotorsports.com/

The above link is one incredible Cobra link. If I had the cash, I'd get one of those black street 289 Cobras with a coupe top. Check out the polished aluminum Cobras and make sure you check out the brushed copper bodied 40 Ford under the custom link on that site. Thanks Chas for finding this one.

ERA and Kirkham are awesome cars. But lets not forget about Factory Five. I loved building mine and I wish I would have never sold it.

There's nothing like the lines of the Cobra..

Hey Rob, Great looking FF, done right. That looks like Rangoon Red or close to it. Is that a Windsor with FE valve covers adapted?
Please tell Rick you want to see 1/8 scale FE's!

I'm going to have to stop looking at these pictures and reading these posts. I seem to have developed a problem with bladder control. If I could afford it, I'd get one of those ERA slab side Cobras. I love the 289.

You got it. I put in a Ford Crate 392W with 475 hp. After a some tuning, we got 500 hp. I installed some FE valve cover adaptors and made an adaptor for the FE purge tank. My car weighed 2200 lbs, she was a handful.

I do love the FE engines.

i for one would love to see a 5.0 aka 302 motor and have 3 intake options i would preorder one as soon as the cash is a little better. i would like to see the mustang fuel injection(for modern style tbuckets and dueces), and single 4 barrel carb with plain round airfilter, and a tunnel ram with 2 four barrels and valocity(i know the spelling sucks lol) stacks. it would be AWSOME if you could build it with a trans to mount right into a big deuce or big t or be able to mount a big t or duece trans and have it the same length etc so us guys who love building yet dont feel confertable enough to modify an expensive kit

All this talk about Fords and Cobras makes me realize I'm getting a bit long in the tooth. The pics that have been posted are what comes to mind when folks speak of them but I can't help but remember back to the days of the Sunbeam Tiger with it's 289 and the original AC Cobra. By the way Alex..... TDR For Cobra Lovers does value every-one's input, however we do not accept pre-orders. We feel it wouldn't be fair to you guys to accept money without having a product ready to ship. I know a lot of folks do biz that way......we don't.

no problem you guys make me feel your someone to trust you seem like really good people. if you guys decide to do a small block ford weather it is a 302 351 etc and have it with a tunnel ram and fit the trans to drop into a big t or big deuce or use the deuce or t trans and accept the stock revell For Cobra Lovers /monogram models i am in for sure i think having it fit in the stock location would bring more biz because people like me who love to build and do slight mods wouldnt feel confertable to mod the frame to accept the motor

I think there's enough interest for TDR For Cobra Lovers to take a serious look at doing a body and an engine. Lets keep the chatter going because TDR For Cobra Lovers values your input. In the meantime, I'm going to chat up Chas off site and get some input from him and then Don and I will look at putting something together for you guys.

Please keep in mind that projects like this take time, but you've definitly got our attention, enough so that we may be able to make it work.

Ah, the Cobra..............I have been laying low, taking in this thread, and figured it was time to chime in.................been right at the top of my list like forever, and it took awhile to get it together, but I built a 427 SC replica, and it fulfilled a whole lot of things for me.............there just isn't anything like rolling out to the garage and going for a ride in something that you layed your hand on every piece............and to be able to experience what those cars were all about, well, Heaven comes to mind........that was then, and that car is now up in the Seattle area, nicely finished out.............

But what I really like hearing here, is that wish list of pieces that you would like to see TDR For Cobra Lovers go after...........we all have those favorites, and we want it all.........and yea, there are some limitations, but the TDR For Cobra Lovers guys need to hear about whats gonna get you there................

    We're listening.............

A Cobra body might be really cool.....I've been working more and more with household foil and a Cobra body covered in foil may be right up my alley.....

    Cheers

    Tony,
Nice to meet ya and I love 'em in bad black. Too bad you moved on-when you build 'em yourself they're part of you. Why I still have mine.

    Don,
Thanks, I thought I had a(nother) senior moment...

    Rob,
We got to get these TDR For Cobra Lovers guys to use a Kirkham (with the hardtop!) for a pattern and then you teach us all your foil techniques! Take a lotta foil I think.
