Hello fellow large scale modelers!
As a new guy, I hope that I can still surprise someone here with my first finished 1/8 build, now about two years old. It's a scratchbuilt curbside model of the awesome, strikingly beautiful and uncontrollable mad cat, the Bill Thomas / Don Edmunds 1965 Cheetah.
For everyone who doesn't know about this car, some research will produce interesting stories! And I just couldn't resist this beautiful shape; I had to have her.
So I carved the body from Polyurethane foam using photos and a 1/43 model as pattern. The few detailing parts are mostly made by rapid prototyping
(3D print), while the taillights are stolen from the 1965 C2 Corvette of
Revell
.
