After building several Shermans as a stock kit,I decided to do something more interesting and build a conversion of Israeli Sherman, with longer cannon and and counter weight at the turret. Not all the elements are 100% accurate, but a general idea of the process. The initial kit is a Tamiya Sunday Sherman conversion. 1/16 R.C. version, here are my humble results.

I love it when somebody shows up with a perfectly detailed model and says this.

What a beautiful job kaptain Jack. It doesn't get more realistic than this. Outstanding. Looks like you might have had some experience with the real thing.

Tanks do have big wheels and big motors and are very heavy. They drive around and drink gasoline and carry people from one place to the next. As far as I can see, it's definitely a large type of car and therefore qualifies for the site. The fact that it also has these things called treads and makes huge holes in other vehicles and buildings is of no consequence. In all seriousness, a lot of tank builders are really some of the best modelers and model weatherers. Just pic up a copy of Fine Scale Modeler, get a bib to mop up the drool and behold.
