Just a little project to keep my hands busy.

Started with a frame from the junkpile. This was a 30-inch straight-rail frame for a crawler hauler that never got off the ground:

I gotta say it's a real PITA to bend up a frame that's already made, and next time I'm starting from scratch. Wheelbase is about 10 inches, maybe an RCH more.

Progress shot of the body. Since I had a lot of .020 styrene Suzuki Samurai left over, I used that. The side panels are 3 layers at the bottom. Roll hoop is single layer box section, as are the windshield frame and door headers.

      Opening hood reveals the electronics

Yep, only 4 cells. But that's okay, because...

... there's plenty of cowbell from the 18.5 Novak.

Gonna make this as scale as possible with the giant tranny hump. I think I can disguise it. Gonna be tight for the driver, though. Oh well [expletive deleted] him.

You put the best junk into the open spaces. You never know what OBH will come up with next.

Took the little guy out for a test run. It's quite stable and a lot of fun to drive.

It's got enough cowbell to lift the front wheels, but not by much. And I couldn't time the shutter right to get a pic, so you'll have to take my word for it.

On the rockpile it does better than I expected. The tires have enough weight on them to do work, and the short wheelbase makes up some for the lack of ground clearance.

    Not too tippy, either :D

Still got some building to do, but I couldn't help myself.

I think I can almost stop on this one.

Bartos radiator so you can't see thru the front end anymore

I think it's time to replace that passenger-side wiper blade

Wouldn't be an Ohio truck without copious amounts of rust

    It's everywhere I tell ya

Grime all over the soft top

Spare drive shaft and a BFH in the back.

The last parts are always my favorite. Great rust treatment.
