      Hi,

      i begun this car since 2011 : 2CV CITROEN AZ 1956
2CV CITROEN AZ 1956 build from scratch, Scale 1/6-schema-jpg2CV CITROEN AZ 1956 build from scratch, Scale 1/6-2cv-drawing-1-jpg
This drawing coming from : http://www.citroenet.org.uk/passenge...2cv-index.html

It's a special RC car because I want a true reduce car whith a true reduce motor and the remote control must be completly hiden

Why 1/6 scale ? I saw for 1/8 but it's very small for make a nitro fuel motor and a quarter scale I don't like because it's to big

Next time I will show you motor progress

    Thanks Egon
I was afraid that this motor do not be so enough powerful but now it's able to move a big model car, 7Kg (15Lb)
The sound is special with the air cooling fan, this motor turn at 10000rpm easly, for a small motor : no rpm, no power
If you see the video, you can see no vibrations inside the tank, the fuel don't move
The board is not fixed when you see it slide it's the torque reaction of this flat twin motor
But of course this topic it's a abstract it's was not a long calm river, I try to made in first a assembled crankshaft but it's was be no well, I try differents camshaft ..
I made also : single cylinder prototypes
This motor is not a perfect reduce model it's a functional motor without fake part
It's not possible to reduce a true motor at scale 1/6 I was must remake all the design but it's looks like the true
    I won this challenge
Now the complete car coming !

Yes Roger I understand it's not possible to make foundry in a flat especially that the gas burner is very noisy and when the sand 2CV CITROEN AZ 1956 build from scratch, Scale 1/6 burn it's stink
But I saw you make a wonderfull things in you flat

Yes Egon, there are clutch and gearbox, the clutch is automatic
There is a remote control but it is completly hiden inside the frame thickness (20mm)
The gearbox inclued only a single gear ratio, a differential and brakes, I ave no brakes on the rear wheels
I made the clutch housing in aluminium casting 2CV CITROEN AZ 1956 build from scratch, Scale 1/6 too

For made rims I took 80mm aluminium round bar
I dont have CNC machine, I had note coordinates points I need to had
2CV CITROEN AZ 1956 build from scratch, Scale 1/6-aaaa-jpg

first step turning the inside form
2CV CITROEN AZ 1956 build from scratch, Scale 1/6-bbbb-jpg

Second step I move table in X and move the spindle in Z coordinates and I turn a complete turn the rotary table
I do a complete turn at each points
2CV CITROEN AZ 1956 build from scratch, Scale 1/6-cccc-jpg

Same thing for the outside form and I drill the rim attachment
2CV CITROEN AZ 1956 build from scratch, Scale 1/6-dddd-jpg

I finish the rims like woodturning
2CV CITROEN AZ 1956 build from scratch, Scale 1/6-eeee-jpg

I was not inspired to make tires by molding
I bought 100mm (4") electric scooter wheels and I modified the external form like woodturning too
2CV CITROEN AZ 1956 build from scratch, Scale 1/6-1111-jpg

For made the central tyre groves I syncronise the rotary table whith 2 ball bars on the X axe using a excentric
2CV CITROEN AZ 1956 build from scratch, Scale 1/6-2222-jpg

I just keep the tyre by cutting the wheel on the lathe
2CV CITROEN AZ 1956 build from scratch, Scale 1/6-3333-jpg

I tightened the tyre on the rim whith 1mm tightening
Now the wheels are complete whith rims paint in white cream color

    Thanks Roger
This wheels was made in 2013
Now I bought a 3d printer since 2 years, it's more easy to make the same rim but it's not so fun as machining
I made a try just for see how it will be in 3d printing but I keep the first aluminium rims

It's a good result in less time

I began this model without 3d printing, I will finish it without 3d printing, I don't like technics mixed, after for a new model I will use it
