I have been away from this forum for a while, till I fall in love with a tiny wonder: 1cc glow rc plane engine (wasp AP .061). Inmediately I started to dream about what to build to pay homage to this piece of engineering. Front motor, T buckets and other daydreams came to my mind after getting it for 50. All metal rc car should be the answer, in that way tether cars used to shine in their glory days.

It will be interesting to see how your approach to this scratch build T-Bucket all metal will differ from the brass version built by Abarth whose thread you've visited before. Looking forward to watching the build develop.

I am not at the same league as Abarth but quite below him, he's a genius. I truly love his T, and the four stroke layout is just a blast. I'm planning to go semi static as probably it will be direct drive, no clutch and it is intended to barely slow cruise to watch it in motion. But the goal is to keep in working in metal parts, for the sake of it, no matter how long does it take.

I understand the feeling. There are so many great builders here and since they put up with me and my novice skills, I've no doubt they will be kind to you too. I'm sort of melding the plastic and metal together with mine adapting a Monogram Corvette body and a jag body to an RC car. My chassis is a flat metal pan and the drive train is electric. I hope to remake my chassis after the jag is done with a new double wishbone suspension in front. Another day perhaps. Good luck!
