I use the small emco lathe and mill for my machining. I wanted to make an 1/8th scale spoked front wheel for my T Bucket, so set about making a table for it.

Started with an approx size I was aiming for and searched out a 90 tooth gear and worm that suited the size I wanted. This would give me a 1* movement for a 1/4 turn of the handle. Should be good enough for what I wanted to do. Next step was to turn out a recess in some mild steel for the gear to sit in and push a centre hole though the block.
I am sorry but I dont have pics of making this little table as it was quite a long time ago when these were not readily available for the modelling world. Before the days of digital cameras and ease of putting pictures on the web.
