Now we're getting somewhere. I'm right at the point where I was before I remade the engine. You can see the difference between the two engines. I've put the old and new one side by side so you can see some of the differences. The biggest change is the width of the valley. The narrower valley is the correct one. You also may see a little warpage of the cylinder banks. When they are completed and cemented, they'll be perfectly straight. I've added the bell housing top half and will add the bottom when I finish the oil pan. Next, I'm going to start on the engine internal parts. The cylinders will be actual stainless steel tubes and the pistons will be aluminum but it won't be a working engine. If I do that, I'l never get this thing done. Maybe on the next one. Finally, the rough areas around some of the block contours is my styrene paste filler. In a couple of days, I'll be smoothing those areas out. It takes a day or two for all the solvent to gas out.

Thanks Don. The mistake was just one little calculation. It just goes to show you that one little mistake early on will snowball down the line right to the end. That's why you have to remember to measure twice and cut once because if you measure once, you may have to cut twice. Haste makes waste.
