Yeah, I know 1/5 is better but I'll need a bigger work bench. A 1/5 scale Caddy is about 40 inches long.

last couple of days has seen steady progress being made on the handle bar details I've also machined a new set of gauges in aluminium ,I also had a set of my CAD drawn Instrument faces reverse Bromide printed they got back today so I spent a few hours cutting and fitting them and the clear instrument Vials which I machined from Clear .04 polycarb Sheet, I'm pretty chuffed with the end result!
Once again sorry but the photos are very dark infact their getting darker ? I really have to get the flash fixed on my camera.

Not much progress lately I'll take more photos soon .I've just purchased a brand new resistance soldering unit which allows me to solder parts very close together without the parts falling off.

Are those a few of the pieces I sent you??? Looks like the brakes and fork support may be the cast metal parts from last year. Ive still got that mold if you want to try anything else. The rest of the molds were recycled.

The chain is specialist Photocopier chain which I purchased Via mail order from Japan! Bugger ! I can't lay claim to building That !
To get the detail in the head lamp lens all I did was to scribe the detail in the back of the lens using a scriber and my straight edge ruler then I polished it with Autosol on my Buffing wheel.

Anything available in 1/9? I'd like to change my belt secondary Softail Springer to chain.

BTW - Your scratch build makes my plastic effort seem pathetic by comparison.

I’d also like to know if there’s anything that can be used for a chain in 1/9, I have a 1/9 Triumph that could use one whenever I get to it.

I think someone said that you can use some parts in a derelict printer that would make a great chain. It's worth looking at.

Yes they are the parts you did for me I had them nickel plated . I think I have enough parts here to get me through the build as I'm only going to finish the one bike now.

Bob I remember a japanese site on the web called "Kims House" this guy chops up protar motorcycles and superdetails them with incredible detail and I remember seeing photos on the site of photo etched chain he was using.
I tried to google the site for you but nothing came up for me ?
The stuff I'm using isn't avaliable any smaller than the size I have which is way to large for 1/9th.
