This was a recent bargain find on eBay, not a model that I made myself. I thought it was worth a photo shoot before I stripped it down.
Years ago Tamiya Tamiya 1/6th Kawasaki Z1300 Tourer used to make three standalone bike engine models on display stands, and the one I really wanted but never found was the Z1300 six cylinder. The kits come up on eBay occasionally, but at horrific prices, so I thought I’d strip this one down for the engine and make my own display motor. I bought one of the recently re-released Tamiya Tamiya 1/6th Kawasaki Z1300 Tourer Z1300 kits of the non-touring version, which cost less than the old engine kits on eBay, but I expect it will be a while before I build it.

The Kawasaki kz 1300 was the last one I sat on the pillion. My brother used to have one and treated it like his former Rickman. Went home by a cab with trembling knees. Will watch this thread therefore very close.

    Cheers

    Marc,

The bike lift is scratch built Tamiya 1/6th Kawasaki Z1300 Tourer , though I never did get it finished.

And yes, 1/6th scale guys are available. There is a huge variety out there, mostly military, but you can get all manner of alternative clothing to suit whatever you are modelling. Just google 1/6th action figures and you might be surprised at just what you can get. Here are some of my guys.

    Jon,

The last 2 pics look like real people to me.

I had PMed you a while back about the motors in your diorama. I don't know if it's something you'd be interested in but put 350716043548 in the eBay (US) search-box. Shipping may be too much.

Thanks for the info on the Honda motor. Apart from the fact that I've already got more unmade kits than I'm ever likely to have time to make, I'm trying to stick to 1/6th and 1/12th scales, which is why I passed on the Testors 1/4 Harley motor. Mind you, if I ever saw that 1/3 Honda at a sensible price in the UK...

What I'd really like is one of these: Rare Marushin 1/6 Harley Davidson Panhead Engine Model Perfect Kits(Eg+MDU+SE-2) | eBay
but there are several thousand reasons why that isn't going to happen.

    Regards, Jon
