A new project:
Flying Merkel Board Racer circa 1911
While gathering information about the Ace XP 4 racer with a Merkel front fork
I came across this paper model of a Merkel Borad Racer 1/10 scale:

I converted it into a plastic model:

The wheels are the only kit parts in this case two 21 inch front wheels from a 1/8 scale Revell
chopper.
Good for 28 inch wheels in 1/10 scale. The rest is sheet and and rods in various diameters.
They will be replaced by newly spoked wheels and maybe some O-rings for tires.
Somewhere I saw even white O-rings...
The engine:

Cylinders are made from punched out discs in 6mm and 8mm diameter. The screws are tiny opticianīs screws.
The carburettor:

Also made of various styrene
rods. The fuel bowl is a piece of a
1/72
aircraft tip tank.
The front:

And the intake manifold that goes between the cylinders:

The pieces are looking rather rough on the photo but consider that the carb has a lenght of about 1,5cm.
