    Happy New Year Nick!

Well? I have saved up all my pennies and I am thinking to buy this kit? (Pretty sure it's a done deal in my head), any caveats?

I also lust after the Vincent, but the Brough is just so special.

Now, you are an excellent modeler, so, my question is how much did the kit help you to make such a beautiful model? -or could you have done this in your sleep, "but you know? -you had the kit so you thought you might as well use it?"

Nicely done. Now can you model a scale version of Jay Leno in leathers to ride it?!?

Only just picked this up, in answer to your question - it’s all model, I just put it together. Everything you see is in the box.

I must say though, I found it a very difficult build. I don’t know why, and I’ve never had this problem before, but the composition of their white metal makes paint very reluctant to stick to it. I tried about a dozen ‘etching’ primers, mrHobby metal being the winner. Even now if you look at it hard, it will chip.

I did do a lot with finishes for the base white metal, various degrees of polishing (the fuel tank for example is just highly polished white metal) and pigments/washes none of the metal finishes are paint.

    Good luck!

    Thank you! I appreciate your input. (I definitely think, it's a purchase, birthday is in a few months, . . . . )
