Lets have some fun with an informal catalogue of motorcycle model kits. I have accumulated these over the last few years mostly off ebay .I include a little kit history when possible , if you want, include yours in the same format.

First off the Italeri /Ertle 1/9 series of kits .These included 2 Harley-Davidson's , aTriumph 3h (no pic) and a few others.

This was a series from Heller in 1/8 scale .This Commando was cool as I rode the crap out of the real thing through the 80's. Others included BMW's and ?

Revell 1 , 2 , 3 , models for me... thought they had a clue when they put out numerous kits based on the Triumph 650 pre-unit bikes .There was a trike kit, a stocker ,drag bike and this:

Revell 1 , 2 , 3 , models for me... also used a generator shovelhead for these two:

The genny shovel also was used in a 'Chopped Hog' kit as well.

Revell 1 , 2 , 3 , models for me... also offered a knucklehead engine as well, although if one is aware of the look of a real knucklehead ,they would notice Revell 1 , 2 , 3 , models for me... attached knucklehead rocker boxes to their genny shovelhead cylinder/head parts. This was in a drag bike kit and this one as well:

These Revell 1 , 2 , 3 , models for me... kits are hilarious, the knuckle chopper instructions are a riot alone ,describing tires as 'skins' and gas and oil tanks as 'juice' cans!

Here is a shot of the last chopper I built real-time so you know I have half an idea!

      And what I ride now...

Please feel free to add your m/c model box pic to the catalogue.

    Hi Krow,
Here's the Triumph 3HW, I scanned it before tossing the box. The Triumph also came in a civilian model. I chopped mine.

Some more additions to this catalouge:
An early issue ESCI Zuendapp 750 with sidecar.

Later reissued under the Italeri and Revell 1 , 2 , 3 , models for me... label. Still a very detailed model .
Others in this series were the BMW R75 Solo and with side car, Zuendapp Solo,
Harley WLA, Triumph HW ( mentioned above),
The Kettenkrad, and A VW Kuebelwagen, all in 1/9 scale.

Historical note: : The heavy BMW and Zuendapp bikes were never ridden as a solo machine- far too heavy for field use.
The German Wehrmacht did use other bikes like a NSU 350 for dispatch riders.

But molds do shrink over the time!

Here´s an comparison between a late issue Revell 1 , 2 , 3 , models for me... side car half (2005 top) and an early
    issue Esci half (1976 bottom):

    Never forget Protar!
The former racing rider Tarquinio Provini started his firm in the late sixties
after an accident which hurt his back so that he had to end his career: PRO-vini TAR-quinio.
They had a range of historical racing machines which are nowadays highly sought after.
    All in 1/9 scale

    Examples:

    Morini 250 ´60ties

    BMW Paris Dakar

Kawasaki 250 Toni Mang World champion

    Also some bicycles Giro d´Italia

I'm a little hesitant to add my collection here, you blokes put me to shame. Most of the kits I'm seeing on this site I didn't even know existed. I've never seen a Protar kit for real, only photos, and Mario has a HUGE collection of them.
I don't know how to put the large photos in here so you'll have to put up with my small pics.

1st- The Heller 1/8th Yamaha TY 125 trials (my build thread is in this forum), I've seen the same kit with different box art. This is the only bike I've built that has not been Tamiya 1 , 2 , 3 , models for me... .
2nd- 1/12th scale Vincent. I've seen this kit with a different manufacturers name on the box, can't remember who, and I'm not sure if it came out before or after the 'Matchbox' brand. Looks like it will build up to be a very nice model.
3rd- 1/10th Harley Classic FLH by Academy/Minicraft. Picked this one up at a swap meet for $20.
4th- The box says it all. I love them old Duc's.
5th- I bought the NCR Racer to build Mike Hailwoods #12 bike from 1978 using the left over fairing from the MHR rebuild, & the MHR kit will replace the old rebuilt one.
6th- Big Kat:Little Kat. The same bike in 1/6th & 1/12th. The big one is half built, the little one will be built different.
7th & 8th- These two 'off the shelf' kits will be 'out of the box' builds.

Recently I was given a box containing three built and very broken Harleys, all unpainted. 9th- The black one is a 1/9th scale Revell 1 , 2 , 3 , models for me... police bike. 10th and 11th are Tamiya 1 , 2 , 3 , models for me... 1/6th scale, the maroon & cream one comes with the side car in the kit and the other is the burgundy and white Electra Glide. The bike with side car I will rebuild as standard but the red & white one will be some kind of custom job, but I'm not sure yet what I want to do to it. The black one? Well, who knows..... If anyone has any ideas please throw them at me!

Just got back from the local hobby shop with this little gem. 'Little' being the key word, as it's only 1/35th scale, but it is a bike. I only went there for a browse around and spotted it on the shelf for $15 (less 10% discount as I'm a member of the local scale model club- Darling Downs Scale Modellers). It's very much out of my comfort zone, being so small, but I'll give it a go and see what I can come up with. I'm not into the military thing so it will be a civilian job.
According to the instruction sheet it's a 1940 model with 4 gears in high range, 3 gears in low range and a reverse gear, with a top speed of 92km/h.
    Cheers, Dave.

One I haven't seen yet the old MPC 1 , 2 , 3 , models for me... Bronson bike. Just an old iron head Sportster.
Got my kit back when it first came out. If I can figure out how to post a pic I'll put up the box. Model is pretty much toast but have most of the parts.

Hey guys, not much has been put in here for quite a while now. There has to be more bike kits out there that some of us haven't seen before, so how about whipping out the camera and fire off a few shots;';;'; Even if you think your kits are common and everyone has one or has seen them before, that may not necessarily be the case. Even if they are common, doesn't matter, it's not much of a catalogue yet so "fill 'er up mate". But try to avoid putting in photos of kits that are already in here.

This little beauty just arrived here today. I don't know when it was produced but it is in almost perfect condition with the original shrink wrap still intact. Produced by ERTL/ESCI, the box says made in Italy and packed in USA. Does that mean the sprues were injected in Italy and then sent to the US to put in the box? I've never seen one of these before so I couldn't let the chance go by. I think it would look ok built up like the picture on the box.
