This is also a good example of how to photograph a car for the Show and Shine besides being an outstanding example of model building.

The photography here is exemplary. You'd never know you were dealing with a model and not a real Bugatti. The model even stands up to the acid test and that is high res up close photos. Great job, minigri. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your work.

As new member, I make a short presentation of myself and my hobbies. I leave in Toulouse, in south of France, the city where the Airbus A380 is assembly.
I am 59, retired and was before technical manager in barcode industry.
I posted a few days ago some pics on the gallery concerning my Pocher Bugatti. I am a self made modeller and it’s the first time I show a model. It was the second Pocher model I built, the first one was the Alfa Romeo 8C.
I started building models in 1976. I work in two scales, 1/12 with Tamiya and 1/8 with Pocher, Heller and Revell /Monogram.
Concerning the Bugatti, I spend a lot of time to find solutions for covering seats and doors with leather and to find the best material and method to plate the dashboard.
The car body is painted with Tamiya cans. Two coats of primer , five coats of paint and three coats of clear coat . Waiting 48 hours and sanding with 2000 paper between every coat. This take a lot of time.
I only work in modelling in winter and will start a Mercedes True Roadster next October.

I sure hope you will enter your models in our "Show & Shine" and again later this year in the Pocher Concours. Also, please tell your modelling friends over their that they too are welcome to participate in our events. If they are not members here, they can send photo's to me at <rick21142@shaw.ca> and I'll post for them.
