Since mid 2008 I'm busy with building the RIVA Aquarama of Amati. It is an Itallian wooden speedboat with 2 engines from the beginning of the 1970's. As you can see, I have allmost finished with the first planking, only need to finish the back and need to sand the whole hull. When first planking is finished , I can start with the second. I 'm not adding any extra detail as the kit is already very good and I'm concentrating on getting the basic skills, as this is my first model. I have installed 2 electric motor + speedcontrol + servo + receiver to make it Radio Controlled. I have added 3 lights in the front (not standard). I'm sure the original boat must have some lighting at the back and maybe even on the side but I can't find any detail. Does anybody have an idea? Any advise is more than welcome.

I've been picking away on my boat while waiting for the mud to dry on the Willys woodie.

There's a bunch of brackets and supports that still need to be added before I start to plank the hull. For anyone wanting to build a boat, I highly recommend this kit.

    Goran,

Sorry for the late reply, I was on holiday (golfing in Egypt). I have bought the kit for 90 euro if I remember correctly. What is included:

2 motors: They are standard 6V engines. I can't easily read the specs (label is not easily visible the way they are installed now). Let me know if you need more info.
2 reduction units: They don't mention the reduction. If needed I can calculate it.
1 controler: Msonik 4, model Marine 15, 15A current limit, 4,8-12Voltage input
2 propellers (1 left and one right turning)
2 axises
2 ruders
I have contacted Amati for what they recommend regarding the battery. The recommended 7,2 volts and a capacity (amp) as pick as possible, I bought one of 4,1 Ah. I have added a duo switch of Robbe (8445) to control the lights I have installed. The led lights run on a separate battery of 12volts and 600mAh. Hope this gives you enough information.

PS If you want I can generate some pictures.

    Hello everybody:

I have two different set of Riva Aquarama blueprints. One is in 1/8 scale ant the other in 1/18. The quality and detail of the 1/8 plans are much better than the 1/18.

This plans include bulkheads, keel and hull lines.

If somebody wants a copy, just let me know or send me a message.

This plans aren`t electronic, they are printed.

    Best regards,

    Javier

It has been a while. New job has kept me from making a lot of progress. Busy with the 2nd layer of planking now. Some pictures of the small progress.

    Hi Riva-builders.
Do any of you have a place where I can get the fittings in scale 1/8 for the aquarama other than in Vietnam at GIA NHIEN CO LTD, he wants 100$ a set some times long ago, there's also the problem with the payment to Vietnam.
I have a plan to build one to my Pocher cars some times in the future when I finished my RR and Mercedes 540 and Ferrari and 2 Heller Citroen's.
PS. do not have any Rivaplans.
