      Hi

Found this group by accident in doing a search for a 1/8th scale ford V-8 for my model of record setting hydro "Alter Ego". Plans available from vintagemodelplans on ebay. Glad to see someone else is doing a build of "Mistral". Mine is nearly done at a scale of 1/12th it is about 50 inches long, dual 970 johnson motors and dual astroflight speed controllers

Hey Bigwoodie. Welcome to the site. We're always glad to see a new boat builder. I'd love to see some pics of what you've built. That Mistral sounds like a real winner at over 4 feet.

OK, I'll post pics but where can I get an inexpensive (under $50.00) kit for a 1/8 th late 60's or early 70's V8?

Hey Woodie, check with TDR Innovations. The owners are here on the site and they make some great products. I'm not sure of the prices but they do a great job.
