My first post so hope I'm on the right track.
I recently took delivery of this delightful kit. So nicely presented it's almost a shame to make it up... but that didnt last long and I've been pretty occupied making a start, and collecting reference material. The kit is certainly not perfect in it's detail, and some of the !/16 scale models have a more accurate interpretation. So there's quite a bit to do to get it closer to the real thing, and I'm still making some compromises. Some of the turnbuckles were missing from the kit so I made up a mould from the supplied parts and am casting off a few more in white metal. By rights all the rigging wires should have a turnbuckles on them, and I still haven't yet decided whether I can face doing that many. I'm quite pleased with how things are looking so far.

On the right track?? It doesn't get righter than that. Beautiful job.

Thanks for the approval. As you can see I decided to compromise and do some extra turnbuckles, and add some of the internal bracing. It meant making a jig to make connectors for the turnbuckles to connect to the kit components.
