Added some lead weight today to ensure she sits on the nose gear.

Started working on the seams. Using bondo, I fill the seam them just as it starts to kick, run a scribing tool down the existing seam. When done, all the seams should be balanced out!

She's 90% ready for color. Working with a Die Cast model requires a new method of attach when painting. Almost everything has to be assembled prior to paint.

Well, I'm back. Between Working 70+ hours a week and having the flu last week, I haven't spent but 5 minutes in the shop. But today, I finally was able to get down to business.
She's ready for touchup then clear.

    Enjoy your weekend

    Idiots Delight comes to life.

Decals are applied. Couple of coats for Future tomorrow, then the fun begins making this thing look like it's been to hell and back!

She's starting to look like she's been used and abused. Now it's time for some final tweeks and touchups.

    Thanks for looking

Hey everyone. It's been a while. As you may recall I'm building this for a friend. When he saw the pictures of the weathering he decided he did not like it. Too much paint chipping. He wanted a replica of Idiots Delight, and that's what I did. Oh well...I touched up 90% of the chipping, then started weathering again. Still have a lot of work to do. I hope he likes this.

    Cheers

That looks a heck of a lot better than the original paint scheme. I really love what you did with it.

Thanks. My friend picked her up and he loves it. He wants me to do a Franklin Mint B-25, B-24, and B-17 next.
