Ok guys its been a long time since I posted a car to start some controversy. So lets see what happens with this one. When I first looked at the price and the pictures I though  Then I read the text and said WOW how cool is that? So look at the pictures and then read the description and see what you think. I like the overall look and stance of the ride, engine is really cool and the interior is old school all the way.

    AAAAARGH!
I'm torn here. Man I love the look of it, it has such nice proportions. If it were in steel Id be in love!
Only a couple of downers for me.
    A. Fake patina, a nice flat colour with scallops would be better.
    B. That UGLY Chebby motor with fake ARDUN heads...... eer, why?
    C. That much work and it has a digital dash, why go to all that trouble and have something so out of place with the theme of the car?

    Oh, yeah, and the price!!

I had read that this was once a $300g car that was re-built in the 'old' theme, not so. This car was built to be like this from the start.

I know that car and I read the article in Street Rodder. It's really cool looking but I've got to agree with Doc. I'm torn also. I love that era of Fords with the coupe being my favorite from 35 to 42 (where I got my screen name) but I never was a fan of restoring an old beater to look like an old beater. I would restore it to be my daily driver but not a show queen. Just my 2 pennies. Still, thanks Dave for putting it up. It's great research. l:

HFC ..... I think you did the same thing I did? Looking at the pictures and not reading the text on Ebay. This is a glass car and the rust and hole etc. are all fake! Not a restored to look not restored.

Saw the spread in SR. This will probably require me to get flameproof underwear but: IMHO this is one contrived piece of ****!!!!

Ahhhhhh c'mon guys..........the price may be one thing but the guy built it the way he wanted to. Isn't that what street rodding and model building is all about?

I knew that was a glass body but I was really talking in generalities. I'm not a great fan of what people call rat rods. In fact, we had a discussion somewhere on the site about rat rods, what they are and what they are not. A daily driver should be a nice looking vehicle, not one that would require you get a tetanus shot every time you wanted to drive it. Don't forget that this is only my opinion. Still, the price is way out of line.

You're right Rick, but we all have our own "likes and dislikes". I respect the amount of effort and talent it takes to build any Hot 37 Ford Rod (big or small), personally....that one doesn't do it for me.:) Just my opinion.
