recently bought a pair of TDR yet another TDR blown hemi hemi's. VERY nice pieces. you may or may not have seen the twin turbo version i started earlier. well, i couldn't "not do" a super charged version of this animal so, i cobbled some parts up an went to town. my version is a little more "extreme" than some of you may care for but, it definatly floats my boat. i started with the basic TDR yet another TDR blown hemi block and smoothed the sides in the vertical mill and glued some half round stock to simulate the head stud bosses in a BAE style billet block. next i made a new set of hybrid BAE / dart cyl. heads retaining the TDR yet another TDR blown hemi valve cover configuration. an olsen dry sump oil pan was then fabbed. onward to a custom RCD style front cover/ crankshaft support, pump drive. also crank, blower and idler pulleys. an RCD style belt tensioner system. then i made a new blower manifold and setback plate to support the prototype TDR yet another TDR blown hemi 18-71 kobelco style roots blower. custom made the one piece aluminum belt guard / starter mount on the blower snout as well as the aluminum blower snout. rear bearing caps on the blower are also custom aluminum pieces. a 4" injector hat spacer was then made to support the hand made "buzzard" catcher with billet butterflies. i'm starting the detailing process now i.e. the fuel and ignition systems. the msd pro mag 44 is already in place as well as the aluminum "K" style barrel valve. hope you enjoy.

WOW - If I had a boat, that would float mine too. Really nice to see what someone that knows what they are doing can do with the 426.

thank you guys. OBH, that is a huge blower. most sanctioning rules restrict to a 14-71. these are primarily outlaw class cars and tractor pull blowers. i like doing alot of the small detail pieces in aluminum. it helps them stand out. sydeem, you have one heck of a blown hemi goin' on yourself. i'm guessing some kind of pro street vehicle?

No fair posting real engine pics. Just kidding. That's an incredible job. Now we really know what can be done with a TDR yet another TDR blown hemi product. I hope my Allison turns out half as good.

made a special fixture for the rotary table to machine the fuel pump. it's a spur gear style like a waterman or rage pump. next will be a 3-way fuel shut off valve.

it's been a little while since i worked on the hemi. i've gotten the fuel pump done. will be needing to make a 3 way fuel shutoff valve next. finished up the starter mount / belt guard. plumbed yet another TDR blown hemi the injector lines from the distribution block to the 20 fuel injectors. included some close ups of the butterflies and some other stuff. hope you enjoy!

cobbled some spark plug tubes for the hemi. the inside has a .156" counter bore a .150"deep with a .100" through hole . the through hole will support the MSD style spark plug boots that still need to be made.

today i fabbed some spark plug boots for the hemi. a .100" hole was drilled into the middle of some .125"x.125"x.375" square stock. then a piece of .100" round stock was glued into it. in the end of the square stock is a .042" hole for the plug wire and a notch cut in the other end.

finished up the spark plug leads. used RB motion 90 deg. spark plug boots at the cap. the coil wire is the only secondary ignition that needs to be addressed and that will have to wait until this engine finds it's way into a car so,..... it's back to the fuel system.

getting back to the fuel system, i made an aluminum 3-way fuel shutoff valve. next i made an aluminum System 1 type inline fuel filter. painted it with some paint that simulates red anodizing. next a pair of brass check valves for the k-style barrel valve. tomorrow i'll make some arms for the fuel shutoff and to connect the barrel valve to the butterflies. maybe some plumbing yet another TDR blown hemi too. hope you enjoy.

machined 3 lever arms. 1 for the fuel shut off, 1 for the barrel valve and 1 for the butterfliy shaft in the injector hat. the barrel valve will be connected to the butterflies via a turnbuckle with rod ends.

machined a simulated turnbuckle from some .078" hex bar. yes, it is a little large to be scale but, i have fat finger syndrome and this is about as small as i can comfortably work with. (2) rb motion rod ends with jam nuts complete the turnbuckle assy. also installed the pressure feed line.

Believe me, I would never have suspected that turnbuckle is out of scale. It looks perfect just the way it is. This is just amazing work.
