        Ok guys,
        I was taking a closer look at the '32 roadster body, and noticed that raised ridge that runs along the sides of the body has an awfully sharp lower edge. The other ridges have a nice smooth beveled edge, but this one is nasty. What's the technique for sanding fixing the sharp edge on the '32 body sides that thing down? Probably my biggest disappointment with the kit, along with the solid grill.

      Hey Rob. If you want to bevel off the edge, the best way to do that is with a sanding fixing the sharp edge on the '32 body sides stick whether you buy them or custom make them with samdpaper and popsticks. If you use the sandpaper without the stick, you run the risk of creating hills and valleys along the edge. Shape the sharp areas to look like the smooth ones and you've got it down. If you have any more questions, ask away. :)'

      Hey coupe,

      thanks, I saw a tip on here somewhere about making sanding fixing the sharp edge on the '32 body sides sticks, and I figured that would be the way to go.

      I got the frame painted and glued together, now I'm back on finishing the engine. I'm at a loss as to where the "starter" part #314, is supposed to go.

      Ok, I put down some tape to protect the body, and started to sand fixing the sharp edge on the '32 body sides the edge with some 600 on my small sanding fixing the sharp edge on the '32 body sides block- a little too big for the job. I also tried using a blade to scrape fixing the sharp edge on the '32 body sides off the sharp edge. something wasn't looking right, and I realized that it was the fact that at the point where the ridge meets the body should have a round curve to it as well. I don't think there would be anyway to fix that other than using putty fixing the sharp edge on the '32 body sides and shaping it. That's a lot of work and beyound my skill, so I'll probably have to settle for the rounded edge.

      Goes on the passenger side of the engine attaching to the bell housing. It can be seen on pages 6, 8 and 9 of the Highboy instructions just under the exhaust manifold.

      ok, thanks. I see it tucked in there. The assembly drawing makes it look like it somehow goes on the front.

      I've sanded some of the edge off using the sticks -paper glued onto popsicle sticks. It's much smoother looking than the sharp edge the kit comes with. Not the same as the upper edge, but I'll settle for it because I want to get this thing painted. Why does the kit come like thaht anyway?
