Most of you have seen these before but these are my new and improved latest versions of the solid wood dash for the Big Deuce. They are made with ultra-thin 1/64" hobby wood and decopauged as in the past. The decopauge protects the wood from splitting when drilled out and gives a true "automotive" finish which cannot be replicated using varnish. The gauge housings are aluminum tube.

Nice work Steve. It sure gives it a touch of class. Do you use a die to stamp out the holes?

Now that looks really great. Wait until you guys see that with the gauges in. You'd swear it's the real thing.

Steve and I go back a ways so let me give you new to the forum guys a little heads up.

Steve has his own way of doing things....probably the only guy I know that can assemble a box kit build without glue and it won't fall apart over time.

Anyhow the surf is up and Crazy Steve is fixin' to hang ten, watch for some great tutorials and photography tips.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW! I can not wait to see the car this one piece you are showing will be in. Great work and the info on finish is tops. How about a little demo on how you got this bland part of the kit to look like you were about to install into the real deal. This is what the art is about!

Hey Rob. Good to see you're here. Dust off the hobby knife Wood dash for the Big Deuce - refined and join on in. There's a big place at the workbench we saved for you.
