im starting this post to show the progress on the big t 3n1 i should have here by tuesday. I have done one large scale model before this and i figured out what not to do on that one lol.
im going to shoot me a 60s style and it will be built with the bed. What ever i dont use ill have up for sale so when i get through the parts ill list up what i have and hope you guys can give me some guidence to what its worth. so far heres what i have ordered
      big t 3 in 1 kit 85$ 8 shipping
hilborne injection setup with brass stacks(will be getting painted) $26.00
resin big t build up corvette valve covers that im hoping dont need much clean up
a member is going to get back to me about if he has a blower set up but if that does not happen the hilborne will be used if its not i will use it on the next one.
look for updates starting right when the kit comes in
the stuff im still looking for is,
m&H Racemaster slicks it sucks they dont have the writeing in the new kit.
prostreet style tires such as off the golden t
golden t headers the plating doesnt matter they are going to be modded
im sure ill think of something lol

Try a black magic marker on your rubber band, sometimes the produce dept. uses wide ones for things like bundled fresh broccoli or to keep live lobster claws shut. If you paint them, eventually the paint will destroy rubber bands.

thanks for all the awsome info i feel like im asking a million questions i have one more it seems like when i follow all the instructions for wireing the motor the wires are all jumbled up and a million times longer then they should be, whats the best way to make a wire loom or something like it? i promise for all the answers and the parts rick supplyed you guys will see a great final product.

Okay Alex, this is just what I do and there are other ways. First get on-line and do some homework. Look at pictures of real engines that have been neatly detailed. Find the proper firing order for the engine you are using and note that most of them use wire looms (easy enough to fab from scrap). I like to use solid core wire (proper scale) not the braided stuff as the solid will hold it's shape once bent. Strip back a little of the insulation and drill a small hole for it to go into. Bend and cut 1 wire (to length) at a time and install them in a neat and orderly manner. I toss the flexy tubing that they put in kits. By the way.....plugs for that engine are easy enough if you fab 'em.

thanks for the very quick replys im assembleing the blower in a min since the aluminum paint has dried and i must say it looks way better then chrome. the mods i did to the headers look pretty good and fit even better. on the next one im going to go a little slower and do more detail work now that im confident on building these better as this one is coming out way better then the first one. wheres the best place to find some cheap big ts or big deuce ebay has a good deal every now and then and the hobby shop i worked at shut its door in april(i had anything at cost).

We're not going anywhere, slow down and learn as you go. You are on your own with cheap kits. Hobby Lobby has a program going that sends out 40% off coupons in an E mailing to folks that sign up.

That 40% coupon can really save you a lot of bucks when you buy multiple kits. It's just too bad they don't have the 50% off model kit sales anymore in my area. Those big kits used to fly off the shelf. That's how I got my stash in the first place.

Yeah, the 50% was great.....best I've seen recently is 30% but it helps offset the price increases. I was in there last week to pick up an airbrush big t build up needle and was floored by the prices on the little kits.

just my luck no hobby lobby in my area much less any shop that sells model kits theres one place and its strictly r/c and even then they suck lol. we shut the doors and another local one shut it before they lost alot of money like we did. i wish i wasnt so young i would open one after i see where my boss went totally wrong. the prices on the little kits are crazy and even worse at the idependnt stores like we were but we actually did quite well with models next to r/c truck and plane they sold the best. 95% of out kits were 16.95.

thanks guys i love when people give me feedback :) and the paint is the best ive ever had in a spray can besides black gold by house of kolor this stuff is just rustolem colbalt blue met with rustolem crystal clear i gotta pick up more clear so i can cover the decals. im pretty happy on this one and cant wait to unload the 32 kits so i can pick up another(hopefully someone has a 1/12th 57 chevy or a big duece 3 in 1 when the time comes). the exhaust is outside drying i made it to come off the headers and go out the holes where it normally comes in i think the metal tips will look awsome out the side. The headers came out perfect i just had to heat and bend em a little and make the build along with the blower thanks rick!!
