Yet again another deuce project begins. The model shop I went to had a sale on, and the deuce was in the window at a vastly reduced price. I then bought it after much thought.

This project will be done in the hi-boy style, with a flathead engine and Ardun performance equipment. I am also thinking of a duval windshield, a '40 steering wheel and dashboard.

It will also have the teardrop tail lights from the Big Deuce, complete with the blue dots, to add a bit of class.

This is where the inspiration for the interior came from.

That's a 40 Ford dash !!! I'll be mastering one of those soon. I've added that pic to the research. Thanks Rob. That's a great one.

I've also been wanting to do a '40 Ford dash. HFC, how do you plan to handle the bright work?

HFC, put me on the list for a '40 ford dashbord. As it will be the finishing touch for my hi-boy project.

Depending on what I can find, the bright work will be hammered and soldered metal. I think it will work out the way I want. Rob, You're #1 on the list, mate.

I have sprayed the frame rails, front, centre, rear crossmember, frame horns and the gas tank in Tamiya Bargain Deuce Hi-boy. TS-41 Coral Blue. I will post a photo of the parts as soon as possible.

Guys. I have finally started my hi-boy project. I am using the flathead I had left over from a Big Deuce Kit, but it has been painted. Any suggestions for removing the paint off it.

Brake fluid or Castrol Super Clean Bargain Deuce Hi-boy. are my preferred choices Rob...but do a search here and you'll find a couple more options as well.

    Cheers!
