As I usually do, I plan on making custom interior panels for my upcoming deuce builds so I wanted to show you some ideas and also show how easy it is to design custom panels.
I just scanned the kit interior panels and then traced around the bench seat profile and scanned it also. The seat profile helps in the design process. Since the scans are exact size the drawings can also be used as templates once a design is decided on.
The vertical pieces in this example would be Evergreen half-round strip, matching the approximate width of the deuce bench seat pleats and painted to match. Carpet strip at lower part of panels would be peel & stick felt. The other color sections would either be velour Con-Tac paper over thin plastic sheet or just painted plastic sheet. Arm rest would be fashioned out of Evergreen stock.
The map pocket version would be the easiest to make, using Evergreen sheet.
Of course, I haven't ruled out the tasteful use of wood.
