To make a large scale model from that Dodge, you'd basically need to scratchbuild everything since there are no kits available in any scale that I know of. It sounds like a monster task to pull off but if you separate each part into a model of it's own. In other words, you make an engine block and then make a group of smaller assemblies and your engine is done. Then you make a frame and break that down, i.e. rear suspension, front suspension, drive train, etc. You assemble a bunch of "smaller models" to get the final. Now, in order to get the right info to you, we'll need to know your skill level and how much you already know. Once that's established I'll know where to start helping you build that model. Hope this helps. BTW, that custom is outstanding. I wouldn't mind making one of those also in 1/8 scale.

well ,,, i have been building models since i was around 8 years old ..carved a few out of wood ,,, modified all the rest ...I used to build full size custom cars and motorcycles .... owned a custom shop for around 5 years ... back in the 70's ..
started off trying to find a few models that i could marry together to come close to my car ,, but no luck yet ... sounds like enough work ,, that i'm going to have to re-create the whole car from scratch .. are there ANY parts out there ?? motors ,,wheels ,, or do i have to hand build everything .....

Now I know where we stand. You may not have to build everything from scratch. Check with TDR 48 dodge 4 door . They have the engines worth building and a few other products like steering gear and front suspensions that may be very helpful for you. They may be expensive but they're worth every penny you pay for them hands down. It's well worth the time looking into their online catalog. Wheels and tires you could probably get from the deuce kit and paint the white walls on. If you can do any turning of parts at all, you can make the hubcaps from that. Gas tanks, oil filters, brake cylinders, brake drums etc, you can get form the deuce kit also and do a little modification. The parts you'll need to scratch out would be the body, the frame, the interior, trunk and anything else you'll need to put into the model. There are a number of things I could show you and a couple of tutorials I've done on the site that will help also. Don't hesitate to contact me about them. :)'
