Back in the day, there was a lot of talk about getting some masters made up and cast to fill in some of the gaps between the T and the Deuce. I was diggin' around in the gallery and came upon this bashed/scratched rendition of a '27 T Roadster, and wondered if any of these other bodies came to be?

If not, anyone have drawings completed for RP Resin Ford Bodies? 'ing any of the missing link bodies like the '26/27, '28/29, '30/31? I love T Buckets and Deuces as much as anyone, but the late T's and A's make me salivate much more and there are a couple "must build" cars that I have in mind...this being one of them, for example:

(yep, Doc...I know you know this one!)

Clayton (MrModelT as he's known on the HAMB) built this incredible '26 Roadster here. No offense to IFS and billet, but that's just not my thing at all. This one manages to be very subtly sinister without going anywhere near the street rod or rat rod ends of the spectrum. To me, it's nearly perfect and captures the spirit of hot Resin Ford Bodies? rodding like no other.

I'm sure this has been covered a time or two, but I missed it and wouldn't mind a fresh take on the prospects.

Thanks guys,
Glu

Do I see a Cobra body sitting among those pieces??? Wow, look at the quality and finish on those Willys bodies. That's hot Resin Ford Bodies? stuff.

Man does that 26 look great or what. It's hot Resin Ford Bodies? rod all the way even without a fancy coat of paint and custom parts. All it needs on the side is a big number.

Guys, I have several MF bodies and if you're looking for something unique and high quality, the MF line is the way to go. I'm curently building a couple of MF Willys and a T.

I asked about that 27 T Roadster in the first photo a while back and never got a response either. I was hoping that one would be offered to the public because I'd definitely be in for atleast two of them.

I don't know of anyone making a 27 T body or turtle deck. F&F resin Resin Ford Bodies? used to make the turtle deck for the Big T, but the Big T kit wouldn't be the right car for that build. The Big T is a 23-25 Model T. The 26/27 is a bigger and totally different body.

Exactly...the 26/27 is a completely different beast, and in my humble opinion far more desirable. As much as I would like to build MrModelT's roadster, my personal fascination with them (over say the more refined A's which they are obviously a direct precursor), is actually the Coupe. The Tall T currently available is no different in that it is the earlier model. A nice option, but that won't cut it for my purposes.

Since it's highly unlikely that even if a 26/27 does become available that it will be a coupe rather than a roadster, I've resolved that the only way I'll get my hands on one in 1/8 scales is to make it with my own hands. I've been studying the shapes and contours for some time and have collected a massive pic stash of them from all angles. My stumbling block is in finding measured drawings for the coupe. Once I do, I have no doubt that I will start building one. I've already sorted out my plan of attack - bucks for most of the body, for vacuum forming panels, along with a little added detail work for what few reveals and such the 26/27 coupes have.

Vacuum forming should allow me to make them available to others interested in this one as well...but it all depends on obtaining the technical drawings as I'm not going to guess my way through it. My eye is good, but I don't know that it's that good. If all went well, I'm pretty sure I would tackle bucks for the roadster and sedan bodies, too.

Anywho, I'd thought that Daniel might pipe in on the bashed/scratched roadster since it appears he posted the pictures. Can you provide any insight there, Daniel?

Don, I looked through the TDR Resin Ford Bodies? website and found little in the way of 1/8 scale body info. I see them on the table, but I was hoping to be able to find out more about them than I did.

Rick, could you fill me in on the MF line? I'm not sure what that stands for...have been out of the loop a bit too long I'm afraid, and I'd like to hear more.

Hey Glue...(I sure wish you guys would use your real name)

"MF" stands for "Madd Fabricator" and he is a member of this site. He is the creator of the T, the Willys, the Anglia, the Belly Tank and several other 8th scale fibreglass bodies. As mentioned on this site, he's also working with TDR Resin Ford Bodies? to get their roadster body into glass.

There are other Willys and Anglia bodies being produced in resin Resin Ford Bodies? , but they do not compare in quality or accuracy to the MF bodies. I speak from experience, having owned both. I currently have several MF bodied builds under construction and am in line for another that MF will have in production soon. I've been buying from him for over ten years and have never been disappointed.

MF is a member of this site so hopefully he will see your interest and contact you. If not, let me know and I can put the two of you together off site.

Guys, MADD FABRICATOR hear. In reply to your enquiries about 1/8th scale bodies not manufactured by either Lindberg or R/M, at the present time I produce the following bodies in hand laid fiberglass cloth using polyester resin Resin Ford Bodies? , ( NOT cast resin Resin Ford Bodies? as did Dan, George Z., or any of the other resin Resin Ford Bodies? casters). The bodies I presently have available are the '23 T Bucket " Track nose style", '32 five window coupe, '40 Willy's style coupe, P-38 Belly tank, (for you dry lakes/ Bonneville racers), a vintage 30/40's era sprint car, and a Kurtis Kraft style midget racer.
I am also in the process of finishing the molds for an Anglia gasser, based on the 1/25th scale Skippers Critter model, a '32 three window coupe, a Fiat Topolino altered drag car, as well as doing the final body molds for the TDR Resin Ford Bodies? Roadster kit. Yeah, I'm pretty busy at the moment.
Presently, I have no additional bodies in mind. Yes, there seems to be some interests in having other bodies available, but it apperas to me as though modelers are loath to expend any resources, be it time or money on their development. So if you have a project in mind what are you willing to expend on making it happen? Over the past 10 + years I've had a standing offer for anybody who provides me with a master pattern that I can use as a mold, I'd provide them with 2 bodies in fiberglass for their effort. So far I've had one individual step up to the plate. Shortly he will be receiving TWO of the new Anglia bodies. Thanks Rick !!!
For Glu, if you are serious about doing the '26-'27 "T" coupe, I can probably provide you with most of the dimensions as well as photographs to help you with making a master pattern. At one time I was serious about doing the '26-'27 tall "T" coupe body. That is until Lindberg brought theirs on the market. Sad to say, it's not the '26-'27 version, but the old UGLY earlier body with square lines and that bad looking turtle deck. I had visions of trying to modify that kit into the '27-'27 body, but everything is way too wrong. It would be easier to start from scratch. So if you're still interested, send me a PM, and we can discuss your project.
For those of you interested in the bodies I have presently available, please send me a PM with your interests along with an email address I can reply to, at which time I'll send you the price lists as well as photographs of the particular body as it would be shipped to you.
Please note that I have not included any price list in this reply, nor photographs. In all fairness to Dan ( it is his web site you know), all transactions will be via private emails and not through this site.
I am also in the process of hooking up my line of bodies to the TDR Resin Ford Bodies? Innovations group. This will allow easier access for you modelers to my offerings as well as being able to order a body through them and pay for it via Pay Pal. I will ship overseas, but please keep in mind the shipping expenses can be expensive.
So, there you have it, straight from the source.
