      Ive been on this project for the last 6 months and i am starting to make some progress,all my parts have arrived so i can start assembly
      Body:VW Bus
      Motor and drive train:Allison V12,auto transmission & 11'' diff.
      Tyres and rims:Big (from TDR Article: VW Bus )
      Front End:Independent(from TDR Article: VW Bus )
      Seats:Bucket from the Big T
      Chassis:brass tube
      and lots of scale hardware and scratch built Article: VW Bus bits
      Heres some pic of my progress so far
      Not sure where to mount the seat/s either one in the back or two up front(R/H drive) in the last photo it looks too much like a tractor

    Yes the carbon fiber is real ,i made the seat , dash and center consul from 1.5mm sheet
    I am making another fuel tank as the one on there at the moment is to small also trying to sort out the exhaust pipes
    Hope to have the chassis finished by the weekend then start painting the body,i still haven't decided on the colour yet

    I couldnt find any where but e bay so i made my own just finishing off the buckle and will post pics

    Good to know I just sent him a message to update those listings.

    You know what you need. This thing looks far to deadly to have a guy in a racing suit. You need one of those old Mego 1/8 scale figures from the 1970's. You have a few choices. Planet of the Apes or Fonzie.....

    I have also sent a message to DC Models and never got a reply! Shame as i love the look of his old 70s belts. Wanted them for my super scale tamiya Article: VW Bus sand Article: VW Bus scorcher build.

    Thanks for the idea about the driver Ill have to have a look around some of the cheap toy stores in the area
    The body is getting close to being finished
    Made the parachutes and mounts on the weekend just need to make the cable and lever and fit windows
    3 weeks to go be the next model show in Wagga Wagga
