      Ive been on this project for the last 6 months and i am starting to make some progress,all my parts have arrived so i can start assembly
      Body:VW Bus
      Motor and drive train:Allison V12,auto transmission & 11'' diff.
      Tyres and rims:Big (from TDR Article: VW Bus )
      Front End:Independent(from TDR Article: VW Bus )
      Seats:Bucket from the Big T
      Chassis:brass tube
      and lots of scale hardware and scratch built Article: VW Bus bits
      Heres some pic of my progress so far
      Not sure where to mount the seat/s either one in the back or two up front(R/H drive) in the last photo it looks too much like a tractor

    A bit of progress in the last few weeks
    Fabricated the chassis
    Mounted the diff,made new mounting plates out of brass
    Made engine mounts
    Also added more scale hardware to engine.So far over 340 nuts bolts and studs fitted with Rocker covers, exhaust and inlet manifold to go

    Your hardware bill must be astronomical....great job. I'd be interested in knowing what your final count is for bolts etc.

    Some process has been made over the last week
    I had to extend the body by 25mm(1") to get everything to fit
    Finally got the front end nearly finished after trying different ways of mounting the arms,test fitted the steering rack and mounted the shocks and painted and chromed the wheels I have a few more braces to fit and the chassis is finished and ready for painting.
    The bolt count so far is 472 and still quite a few to go

    Slowly getting there
    Mounted the seat,Although i will make a new one as i am not happy the look
    Also made the shifter and mount,dash and steering wheel and made the Roll Bar

    Bit more done in the last month
    Cleaned up the chassis and primed hoping to get the finaly coat on in the next couple days and start assembly on the weekend

    Added some paint and it is starting look like something now,The seat and dash are made from 1.5mm carbon fiber sheet

    Just checked my last post and it was back in March,better get this thing finished.
    Painted the chassis and started assembly
    All brake lines ,power steering and fuel lines done.Wiring installed battery's fitted
    The body is primed and ready for paint and just waiting for some tubing to finish off the exhaust and a new fuel tank
    So far over 350 nuts and bolts have been used
