Is it me, or do the doors need to be longer?

Doors measure 2.875" wide. Deuce doors are 3.25" wide. That's a difference of .375" or 3" scale.

But the roadster doors are tiny in 1:1 . Sedan delivery would use the doors from the Tudor sedan, which are a lot longer (rear seat access, I guess).

That is soooo cool, I would be tempted to leave the roof off and do a version of that famous photo of surfers doing the nazi salute with the boards sticking up out of the back of a woody!

Steve may be looking for more of a delivery panel truck look based on a Deuce, rather than a sedan delivery. As you know, a sedan delivery is simply a tudor sedan with the rear windows filled in and a rear door or tailgate.

The chopped top and mail slot side window kinda' conjures up an image of an armored car in my twisted mind, but you know how I am.

Thanks Gramps. You're partially right. Actually, I had no intention of replicating a 1:1 car. I probably should not have called it a panel delivery. I started out wanting to do woodie and used the proportions of a home built woodie I found on the internet. I started building the box and just decided to do it on plastic. Like many projects I invision and maybe even start, I was looking for a particular look and not thinking much about the engineering - figuring that it would work itself out eventually. In this case I really thought the doors were wide enough. Ultimately, I hope it won't matter once it is built.

I've decided to call this a fish truck for a freind of mine that has a fish taxidermy business. The back will probably feature (for lack of a better word) a chair rail half way up with exotic wood below and velour on top. The headliner on the removable roof will be velour also. Floor may be wood slats or carpet. I don't know at this point.

Like many work trucks that are owned by sole proprietors, this truck will also serve to haul the owner's toys around during his down time. Surfboards are what I'm thinking right now. Doc, you may have something there.
