This car was built and driven by Hank Arnold back in the 60s. It is powered by a 283 Chevy with a blower. Won a ton of races around here and in Calif. back in the day until Hank was killed in 67' A friend of his found the car in New Mexico and restored it here 30 years ago. He lives 5 miles from me and asked me to build this model for him. I have been to his house several times to measure and take pictures. We even got some of the left over paint that was used on it 3 years ago so the color matches perfect. I have not posted here for sometime, been doing slot cars. I built a 8x16 foot track in my empty RV garage and have been building race cars for that until this deal came along. This is as is all my stuff 100% scratch built The Twister . Fiberglass body and most of the rets is made with styrene The Twister tube and sheet, including the tires. The rims are PVC pipe couplers.

Ken this Car is on my list of Oval cars to build, If you have any more reference material and don't mind parting with it I would love to add it to my picture collection for build use . Wow you have nailed that car Ken! I knew you would before I even opened up the thread. some of the other older modfifieds you did before reminded me of the body style they ran there. what a wild engine in the bad boy!.

Nice to see your builds Ken!

Thanks Gary and I will be happy to give you everything thing I have in reference material even the plans I drew to build this. I got to measure everything on this car so it's accurate as I can get. E-mail when you want it. My e-mail address is the same as my "stage name" here, kmeaders@q.com.

Got some more done on the Twister. Killer motor for back then. It has all tuck-n-roll interior, seat and sides to the seat. Decals are coming any day so this is about finished.

Thanks Gary and Junk. The guy who restored the real car and owns it and now the model, loved it too. That's what counts.
