Gang if I told you how much time and effort went into to this 1/8th scale engine you'd probably have Tim, Rick and I committed to an insane asylum. So I'll just post a few pics and let you guys enjoy the eye candy. Tim will jump in here somewhere and explain some of the built in features that we've added simply because we want you guys to have a Hemi that screams HEMI from the get go. Not just another lump of resin TDR 426 Elephant that kinda looks like one........enjoy!

Well the file has just been sent off to the rapid prototyper. With any luck, I will have parts in hand by Sat. or at the latest early next week.

Made some modifications to the parts to make production easier......(ie: less expensive for you guys).

We are experimenting with a new chemical smoothing process with this model to try and reduce the time to market for this engine.

You might notice, that we have included guide holes in most of the parts to help you drill out the part for placement of your own bolting hardware. Just one of those small things that should help make assembly a little easier.

Here are some new pictures of the parts to be prototyped and the pics to simulate a finished engine. Hopefully they will enlarge.

Tim, you simply must tell the guys about the velocity stack air cleaner option. That was your brain child and I'm sure the guys will appreaciate it.

We at TDR TDR 426 Elephant are trying to approach these new parts with one eye on detail and the other eye on the future.
    :}}.;'

We want to build a good base product that has high appeal to you modelers with components that work together and minimum waste. One of the first places to apply this concept was in the air inlet system to this engine.

Everyone has different tastes when it comes to the eye candy part of an engine. There aint much you can do to the block to dress it up but when it comes to the chrome parts...... the sky is the limit.

As you can see from the previouse pictures we started out simple with the velocity stacks. The modeler can build his 1/4 mile thunder horse with just the velocity stacks for that max performance look.

    Or

If he is building a street car then he can top the velocity stacks off with some nice looking air filters and top. The air filters will really look nice with some PE mesh wrapped around them.

So this little setup gets us both the street and strip look. Ok, what if we want something different......a different scoop let's say. We are planning on offering other scoops that will mount ontop of the current velocity stacks in place of the airfilters. The velocity stacks can be shortened a little to help lower the scoop set up if desired.

Here is a quick and dirty concept of what I am talking about. This is by no means a final product, I just spent about 15 min working this up. But it will help you guys visualize what I am talking about.

We will probably turn our attention to the complete induction system once the base engine is well underway. Maybe a nice GMC blower setup. Maybe we can adapt our fuel injectors from the Offy or maybe something like a modern fuel injection system or a tunnel ram.....

Like I said, the sky is the limit.

I'm pleased to announce that we have chosen a caster who is going to do some test castings of the TDR TDR 426 Elephant Hemi for us to examine for quality. Getting to this point has been a long process but we are confident we are on the right path. We appreciate everyone's patience.

This is the best looking scale engine I've seen.......

I hope to be able to achieve one of those.....

Keep up the great work you guys are doing.
