Problems removing chrome from the 1/6 SOHC

Thanks for the information on the ammonia, I have tried a number of different products, it wouldn’t remove the paint and all it did to the chrome was make it more shiny!

Thanks for the information on the primer , I will have to look for that and just scuff up the paint and chrome if I can’t get it removed first.

Super Clean will eventually (2-3 days) remove or soften the lacquer enough so that an old toothbrush will clean ou the detail areas.

I'll try the ammonia - much cheaper

Don't forget the rubber gloves!
