My name is Jens Andersen and I specialise in scratchbuilding Alfa Romeos .
As we all know Gerald Wingrove has sadly passed away . I had hours and hours of talks with him about his technics and how to scratchbuild models . I started 15 years ago Reading his books wich I strongly recommend !!
I have build several models to this day of wich you can see on Geralds webside under Workcases . Andersen Collection
For those of you who had been in contact with him you will already know he was a friendly helpfull man always ready to help with our problems and give advice .
It was his hope that I would “cary on the Torch” and I will humbly do my best especially with Vintage Alfa Romeo’s . 2300 / 2900 .
I have seen some of you build excelent models too and I want to applaud the Builders . I will answer those in need of help as good as I can or simply join discussions about this and that . Although I am a busy man I will try log on here once a week or when time permits.
RIP Gerald Wingrove. You will be missed.

Hej Egon. Takker. Ja når jeg lige finder ud af at oploade billeder
( Thanks ! yes when I find out how to Upload ). Im in the process of building two AlfaRomeo 2300’s. After those I am Building a AR 2900 Mille Miglia but that one is still in my head.
A couple of years ago I have build two different types of AR 2300,s and one Berlinetta.
The masterpatterns for the engines I luckily only had to do once ;)
Some of them is shown on G wingroves webside

Hello, do you have any dimensions for the 8C 2300 engine?

Any dimension of the engine block, or just any dimension?

I have been trying to figure out the proportions and not getting very far.

I can work with photographs and achieve a good semblance, but if I had some or even one length or height, I can figure out the rest.

Thank you! I’m still at my day job, but when I get home tonight I’ll pull out my drawings and see how close I come to your work.

    Thanks again!

    Your patterns look perfect!

Changing the subject a little, do you have any information about the fuel tank on the Monza’s?

Jens, what can you tell me about the radiator?

Every photograph that I have shows the radiator to be inclined, at an angle parallel to the front of the radiator shell.

And this is also indicated in all the factory drawings that I have seen.

However the Pocher model kit and as a result, all the models made with that kit, have the radiator upright at 90 degrees, as you might expect.

We’re the Monza cars so equipped?

And should the touring, or Touring cars, should they have the slanted radiator?

    Slaves to style?
