      Another of Mr. Hays "Trophy Models", I do not know when this was made? probably the late 1940's?



      As I flesh-out this thread, inserting new bits as I find them, I will break the continuity some, - the below cover photo from 1953, a model of the Jaguar C Type, in 1/10th scale made by Mr. Hays for Jaguar.

      Remember that this is completely made by the modeler, engine included! (Maybe not the tires(tyers) in this case, but believe me he knew how to make tires(tyres)!

      Styling predates American HotRods.

      Mr. Baigent did everything! including making the camera that he used to document his work! He also shared his techniques by writing about "How to make vulcanized Tyres", "How to Index on the Cheap", and on and on, etc, etc, etcetera!

      Hi Don, The Model Car News book that was published by Percival Marshall in your photograph was also unknown to me. Will have to see where I can get a copy from. A question. The Saul Santos book. Do you know who it was published by? I will have to track down a copy of this as well.
      All your latest fascinating posts made very interesting reading, particularly the ones about Henri Baigent. As far as I am aware there was no actual book published about his work, so please correct me if I am wrong.
