Two models were made, and obviously one has survived. If you know of the where-about of the second, please let me know, and I'll pass on the information.

Not too bad for a model that is 66 years old!

Larger scales offer a level of fidelity that can only be suggested in most of the more popular scales. But, most modelers are reluctant to make a model to 1/3rd Scale!

3000 hours to make. Tyre molds were machined by the modeler, as were the Steel molds for the crankcase, which was then cast in Aluminium. Individual spokes of course!, -and a properly sprung seat.

Mr. White had the advantages of actually owning the motorcycle that was modeled, and having had restored it and several others.

    Hello everyone! Happy Thanksgiving!

More news on Michele Conti? Sure! Just get yourself the most recent AUTOMOBILIA magazine. Issue #19

Turn to page 76 and you'll find the first part of Marshall Buck's article about the "World's Most Prolific Master Model Maker!"

Some background info, two photos of some of his early works. A 1:12th W196 Mercedes Benz, and a 1:12th 1958 VW5 Vanwall.

Also mentioned are the ridiculous prices paid for his work! - I knew he had worked cheap, but really this did surprise me!

Mr. Buck will follow this article with a second one in which he will offer critiques, and estimated values.

-And, just for me, (or you I suppose?) A photo of Sr. Conti's '58 Testa Rossa in process! A hammered Brass body next to a painted wooden form. With an accompanying picture of the finished model.

A Personal Request? More in process or development photos please! I love looking over other modelers shoulders, peeking into their workshops.

Anyway, for those interested in Michele Conti, something new.

AUTOMOBILIA, a fine magazine dedicated to collectors of mobilia.

    Hello Don
This thread has got quite interesting over the last couple of years or so.
I have looked at the MFH 1/12th scale Bugatti T35 and tried to justify the cost.
But Italeri has come to the rescue with a 1/12th scale T35B announced for later in 2022.
I will definitely be getting one of these. Much more affordable for me much as I would like to build the MFH one!

Hello Noel, how are you doing?

Though my intention is still to make a 1/4th scale Type 35, I too am interested in the Italeri offering. Is there a release date? Summer, fall? I can't remember when the Alfa was released, I think it was early fall?

And? when you get yours, will you do a preliminary review? I trust your opinion over most magazines!
