The source for this book, and for 35 plans by Mr. Collins is
    the Oregon Historical Society-Official Site

    www.ohs.org

    click down to Shop
    Scroll down to Museum Store
Scroll down to Ivan Collins Plans

(by the way, going direct would have been cheaper than epay!)

I'm going to pick up a few plans, maybe a future model? -I can see this turning into a whole new direction for me, as it combines model making, vehicles, especially utilitarian vehicles, and wood-working.

According to the article, Mr. Collins had been employed as a model maker, at Lockheed, and had made 46, models by 1953. The building of each model took a minimum of 600 hours, and are true to the smallest detail, gold dust from a local creek is in the stage coach's strong box, and beer is in the barrels. - of note he used a camera of his uncles which was purchased 1894, to record his achievements.

I just watched the Clint Eastwood movie, HANG'EM HIGH, and I think that it might be possible, that the actual vehicle that this model was made of, could well be the "Tumble-Weed Wagon" ,used early in the movie to transport prisoners? Maybe?

Truly incredible the work of all the master craftsmen.

Without a doubt, they are a guide for those who seek to build a model from scratch.

I have contact with a great artisan, his name is Peré Tarrago, he lives in Barcelona, he specializes in motorcycles (classic and mostly Spanish); It works at 1/5 scale, and the detail is incredible. She is an excellent person, she has sent me some of her work, and she has given me some great advice.

It seems that your web domain

expired, but you can search it on Facebook. If they write to you, do not doubt that you will respond.
