These next few images are from the book offered from the Manuel Olive Sans website. -not the comprehensive book we all hoped for, but it does offer some insight to early models, and a few of the unfinished projects. - these next two were made 21 years apart! 1959 - 1980. 1/12th and 1/20th scales.

Don, thanks for sharing all the info about the old masters in your latest posts. You are a veritable trove of info on these guys. The cover that you showed of the August 1964 edition of Rod and Custom Models was interesting. I saw in the bottom left corner of it that Phil Jensen (Otherwise know as the Tidewater Trucker) was running a series of articles within about scratch building a Bugatti. It would be interesting to learn more about his Bugatti as I was always under the impression that only trucks were his speciality. I had a truck modelling book of his some time ago.

Thank you Noel. I have noticed that Mr. Jensen had authored more than just a few articles in the neighborhoods that I was grazing but not made anything more of it than to assume that he was a staff writer? -In shorter, you have given me a new thread to follow! I'll check into him, thanks!

By the way? please feel free to post anything or any article, or for that matter any picture that adds to this thread! -Maybe your Bugatti? It is a very noble bit of work!

I assume you still have your model? or has some collector wrenched it away? If you still have it? -dust it off and post a picture of it and yourself please!

    -Don

PS- To everyone: Please feel invited to post on this thread, we are a global forum and there are so many places for good works to lie beyond my reach! I do not know Japanese or for that matter any language besides "Merican" (and some choice Spanish curses!) and that shameful fact severely limits my searches for those modelers whose work I wish to bring to our attentions.

again, Thank you to Everyone here who show and share so much!

-and now for something I'm sure you'll really like!

The above are all the work of Sr. Conti.

-and this is the picture that first turned me onto Sr. Sans, Manuel Olive Sans.

-and if you have not seen yet the video I inserted on page one of this thread, well? check it out!

I was attracted to this model from the beginning but I had no idea how fantastic it is! I, for years had only the one rather small picture from a magazine, and you assume, I assumed, that if it were something more, well it would receive more attention! -frankly!- I do not understand why anyone would waste time/ink/paper writing about this model when photographs are the better option!

Harley Earl, the man who brought you clay styling models, is quoted- "a picture may be worth a thousand words, but a model is worth a THOUSAND PICTURES!"

I again, assume that the above BMW 507 model, is safely displayed in some wealthy mans study. If anyone knows of its where-abouts, and condition, please let me know.

Sr. Conti and Sr. Sans were prolific makers! Certainly in his early years Manuel Olive made quite a few "solid" models, then going into the "sixties" both men "stepped it up a bit" and the following are some of those models.

    These are Sr. Conti's work.
