I dont know why I didnt think of this sooner.

SMC needs a logo. Ive always wanted to do a logo that combines both the classics and hot rods but Iam not an artist. Besides I think it would be more fun to leave that to the people that use SMC.

Ive always liked the art from the late 30's to early 50's

The center part of Hot Rod Hells logo with the racing Hot rod is my favorite.

    Heres the rules.
The logo much have both the classics (Alfa Rolls Bugatti) and a vintage Hot rod. The name of the site (ScaleMotorcars or SMC) or both.

((((I decided to revise this. No rules just something that represents the site, use your imagination and have fun... ))))

You can post your art here on this forum and Ill accept entires until Dec 31st. A winner will be chosen on Jan 1st.

    Anyone can enter.

    So what do you win.

The winner gets a brand new 3 in 1 Deuce and thier choice of a 5 or 3 window body.

    Good luck to all.....:D :D :D Daniel

Hey guys.......open a new box of crayons and let the creative juices flow.
Dan, correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think you mean that someone has to be an artist to submit a design. You are looking for an original idea that represents the site, yes? Artwork can be sharpened and fine tuned for print etc. after a design is selected. So guys don't feel like you can't enter because you don't think you are an artist. Sketch your thoughts and post 'em. Do several if you feel like it. There are no skill levels here. Anyone of you members can win. Besides, a new Deuce kit and a coupe body ain't too shabby. Look at the odds.....right now you've got a 1 in 30 something chance of winning, beats the crap out of the lottery odds!

Now I've got to get to WalMart fast. That's what I get for eating all the dang crayons in the house. I gotta see what I have in the office. I better go in before the place opens. I hate to have to fight with those kids.

I'll give it a try. This definitely sounds more like a job for Don. I'd like to see what he can come up with. He does this a lot more than I do.

Do I have to send in my cereal box tops? I need those for the paint set. I'm switching from crayons to watercolors for just a little while. Got hooked on them during my last trip to Hobby Lobby. They had a nice lady there who was painting and she asked me if I wanted to try out the new watercolors. So I did. Not bad. I still don't know why she passed out. I think she needed iron. They won't let me back into Hobby Lobby for another week. :(

When grocery stores have demo days when they hand out free samples, how many of us from when we were kids until today usually consider that a free smorgasborg and sample everything at least as many times as we can get away with. Speaking for myself, always have and still do. By the way I always wondered what they put in those water colors. Did you ever notice how happy all the little characters look on the box lid? Yeah.....but why do they put a little brush in there instead of one of the small wooden spoons?

Hey Don, how'd you know I tried 'em right in the store? Like Keith said, they do the same thing in the grocery store and no one yells when you try the samples. Maybe that's why I can't go to Hobby Lobby. I'll try acryl and see what happens.  :p
