Hobby Lobby runs a 40% off one item coupon almost every week. I picked up another cammer yesterday for $18.
For you guys that don't know....if you sign up (Hobby Lobby website) they will email you a weekly specials ad and a printable discount coupon, as Bob said, it's usually a 40% OFF any single item. I get mine on Sunday, it's good for a week and they do accept them on the 1/8th kits. Big savings!l:

If I tell than I'll have to kill youLike everything else in modelling, you never know when the mfrs. will say..."Well, that's enough of that" and cease production.
How about 2 cammers in an F150? or
How about a blown cammer in the Bratz mobile. Funky, since it's only 1/8th.
The inline blown cammer is on hold while I get some issues resolved with Chrome Tech. In the meantime I'm working on a 1/6th C6 tranny for it. I should have some pix in a couple of weeks.

Hey, how about four blown cammers in a rail job similar to Tommy Ivo's Showboat and in 1/6 to boot. Now that would be something.

I sent a bunch of 1/8 scratch builtOriginally Posted by Deuces-wild
stuff and some out of the box parts for chroming. All of the out of the box stuff and some of the scratch built
came back OK. Some (most) of the scratch built
items came back with what looked like very bad "runs". Since I had used filler on the scratch built
items, Bob at Chrome Tech said to seal the filler with Krylon Crystal Clear acrylic
clear which is what I did. I then sanded all the parts to 1200 grit.
When I called him to tell him what happened, he tried to tell me that it was my prep work. I said that was strange since I had done exactly what he said to do. And I wouldn't send anything out with runs in it. After some minutes of back and forth, he said to send the parts back and he would see what he could do to fix the problem.
The parts are back at Chrome Tech now and won't see them for another 3 weeks or so.
This aside, I have never heard a bad word about Chrone Tech. If your stuff doesn't have any filler, I wouldn't worry.
It would be interesting to hear from others who have used filler on parts under vacuum metallizing.
