I posted some pictures I found of my farm tractor models. These are done to 1/16th scale, scratch-built in paper and other cheap materials.
The first one - a Wallis 12-20, from about 1925 - was built after seeing a real one on the Iowa State Fairgrounds, and finding some pictures in a book. The rear wheel was oh - about this tall (measure that distance) and scale / proportion the photos to scale. Crude, but it "worked".
The second - a Hart-Parr 18-36, from about 1930 - was scaled from my Grandfather's real one.
The third - a Rumely Oil-Pull - was scaled from Grandfather's approximate half scale model. He found rear wheels from a manure spreader, front wheels from a cart, the radiator (inside the tower) came from a Chevy Luv pickup, the engine was a 2-cylinder Pullman Upright engine. Grandpa laid it on it's side and had to rig an oil pump on it. Transmission was Model A Ford. He used it in Slow Tractor races, and drove it in parades. It was the first of about five models for grandpa.
The fourth tractor - for me, got started - but never finished. It was / is a Twin City 40-65, from about 1917. A HUGE BEAST of a tractor - but smaller (?!?) than the 60-90 of the same time.
