I am taking a break from my favorite type of modeling and starting my Alfa Spider. I plan to build the engine first and then the chassis. I’m thinking of purchasing either Mr.Koo's DVD or Model motorcars Pocher Building CD's modifying the Alfa Spider CD though I will most likely end up with both of them. Which one of these CD’s would be the best reference for detailing the engine?

For detailing the engine, just search the internet for pictures of Alfas. There should be plenty. What you see on these pictures is what you are trying to achieve. Most detailing can be done using simple materials.

I do not have the MMC CDs, but do have the Koo CD for the Bugatti, and that one is a great help during the build. Paul Koo steers you away from the pitfalls that have been built in the Pocher kits.

    Jim,

At one time Model Motor Cars had a CD with the instructions for their Alfa engine kit available.

I don't see it listed on the site, but you could email them to see if its still available.

I have several of Paul Koo's CD's. They are an valuable resourse when building a Pocher. I highly recommend them.
