    Hello,

Does anyone know where I can get hold of 3/4" solid brass tube? I want to machine some bench dogs. The only tube that I can find is hollowed tube, such as that sold by K&S .

    many thanks
    Mouppe.

Try IMS in Ca. Industrial Metal Supply. They should be able to get it for you if they don't already have it in stock.

You could also check Special Shapes Co.-- Home Page --. They have a fairly large selection of brass rod at reasonable prices, although there is a minimum order quantity. I don't remember how much, but I do remember it being fairly easy to meet he minimum.

For something like that, I usually use one of these two places:

    McMaster-Carr
Speedy Metals Online Industrial Metal Supply

I've ordered from both numerous times.

Click on the lathe and that will take you into the metal modeling area.
