    Hello
I need to build a display case for a Pocher Testarossa. It will be wood framed with glass panels.
What I need is the inside measurements for the case. Is there a formula as to how much bigger the case should be than the car ? Or , does anybody have one in a case that looks good ?
    Thank's Ted

    Hi Ted,

It's not a car, but I made a case for my 1/16 Sopwith Camel. I think it looks pretty good. I didn't use a formula. Just designed it with about 1 to 2 inches clearance all around the aircraft.

    Cheers

I figured a minimum of 1" all around and then I'm going to order the closest size acrylic Pocher display case question sheets from Usplastics.com to make my case. I think I can make an acrylic Pocher display case question case for less than $30.

Acrylic Pocher display case question is easy to cut. Just scribe it, snap at scribe line, then file for a nice edge. I purchased all my acrylic Pocher display case question pieces from Lowe's or Home Depot. They have several different sizes and thicknesses. I think the thickness I used on the Camel was .09.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks for that tip, Rob. I found plexiglas at Home Depot for $15.

Because I wanted to be able to see the underside of the car, I mounted my Pochers on axle stands (after the photos were taken). It also means that over the years, the wheels will not form flat spots. One to two inches clearance all round worked for me.

If the acrylic Pocher display case question is a little thicker it will glue more easily. I routed a slot in the base to support the acrylic Pocher display case question .

Another nice feature of acrylic Pocher display case question is that you can sand Pocher display case question it with 400 grit sandpaper and then hit it with some heat from a flame and it will glaze over to a high gloss. Just be careful not to use too much heat.

Thank's for the suggestions and ideas. When I get my case done I'll post a pic and the measurements. Might help someone else in the future.
