Sometime back (2007) Sydeem had a thread about a Ferrari Testarossa engine he was building.

Looks interesting, but the photos he mentioned seem to have disappeared.

Is there a way to find them again?

    TIA

If you tried the gallery and it's no where to be found, it may have gone away when the site crashed. I forget when that happened but I know some of my stuff went bye bye too. I would check with Syd via e-mail to see ;';;';if he still has some of those pics left in his files.

    Thanks, HFC.

Not what I wanted to hear, but it answers the question.

    Several ways.

First try a regular search with the user-name and a keyword. If that doesn't work but you know the person that started the thread then search the member list for the user. In the users profile you can look up the users latest posts as well as all threads started by them. I just did the later and came up with these results.

    All of Sydeems threads,

    And the Ferrari thread,

There are only 2 pictures in the gallery:

Actually I made the engine when I was about halfway along in my three years of modeling effort. Left a little to be desired and there are better models listed. If you are looking for reference pictures try this link.

    Thank you gentlemen.

That was the thread I found that was missing some photos, which led to this thread.

The engine transkit is no longer available, which doesn't matter cause I can't afford it anyway.

However there are some great photos!

    Thanks again.

That's the one. Thanks Dan and Syd for finding those. Hey Syd, that you say that engine leaves something to be desired. I disagree, man. That engine is beautiful. All it needs is some grease and oil. You do great work, my friend.
